Irritations with my 940

Aside from the clutch.... Used the car to go to Suffolk at the weekend, cruised very well on the A12 but throttle response compared to a T5 leaves something to be desired! Sure the chips and MBC will rectify this :) Worse thing I've found is that the drivers sun visor has a mirror but there is no cover for the mirror! On my 850 and S70, there's a flap to cover the mirror. Pretty crap design. Not good. Also a spot of hooning around the lanes has brought a nasty rattle to my attention - sounds like its coming from the roof above the load space. Checked the roof bars and they are solid - any ideas? (not the dog guard either (I think)) and the speakers are dire. Body rolls like a double decker bus. But I did get the rear end out on a greasy corner :)

I've got a 940 estate. I find it doesn't roll about on corners, although I expected it too. The suspension is pretty firm on mine (but bog standard as far as I know). The only thing I find is that taking bends a bit quicker than is healthy can lead to a tiny amount of understeer, but then it is a big heavy car and I've experienced the same understeer (or worse) on my much lighter and newer Vectra that I had previously. Also, on mine there is no mirror on the driver's sun visor. Perhaps on your a previous owner might have put a passenger's one on the driver's side for some reason?

My 945 had a rattle at the back, which turned out to be the tailgate trim. Check the upper fasteners on each side.
