Hi, The gas strut in my 850 tailgate is gradually deteriorating and the tailgate sinks slowly and gently knocks my head...expecially in cold weather! Has anybody replaced this unit? Just wondering if its a quick half hour job's-a-good-un or is it a trim-out-lost-weekend type of deal..... Bob

Hi Got mine from GSF a fortnight ago, had them changed and what a difference it makes when your lifting that tailgate a dozen times a day.Had the drop links done at the same time.

I replaced mine with some from GSF too - about a month ago. Now goes up like a rocket and I always try to catch it as I'm worried for the top hinges etc! Trouble is - with it being held up so well don't you find your fingers getting dirty when pushing it down now!?!
