Sat Nav Upgrade discs Volvo S80

I have just purchased 2007 wk 20 sat nav discs for my 2002 S80. Yes from ebay but they are the genuine artical. Keeps coming up with "disc unable to read". My model car fits in with the spec for the discs but somebody has mentioned in earlier forums that an upgrade software is required. Has anybody tried this and does it work. If so, is this software from a volvo dealer. How do I get the upgrade! My old disc 2001 still works and there is no problems with the system. Any comments would be greatly appreciated. :Banane44:

Is your system a CD system, and the 2007 discs DVD ? I think the cd changed to DVD on 2002 model year

Think you have a problem!! - it may be an idea to use a normal computer and see if the computer recognises the DVD software as a first idea - if it doesn't then the DVD is duff and unreadable. If the DVD is recognised by the PC then it's quite possible that your machine can't recognise the disk so you can try copying it to see if that works (they are not the easiest things to copy so try a friend whom copies DVD's for help). I also recently bought an upgrade from e-bay which were fine and worked first time it just sounds as if the DVD you have is a bit dodgy Good luck
